I attended Penn State University and the Pittsburgh Art Institute all with the hopes of becoming an Architect and designer, but my underlaying passion of photography got the best of me. At the age of 25 I moved to San Francisco where I pursued my photography and met my mentor Jim Dennis - a well known Bay Area Photographer.Along with him and my individual studies I honed my skills and soon found myself shooting major San Francisco and National events and productions, from Movie set stills to Corporate shoots, product, fashion and portrait photography as well as working on my fine art photography, I soon opened my studio in Hayes Valley San Francisco where I have lived for 14 years. I also reside in Portland Oregon and spend my time shooting between the two cities and and all points in between. |

What I bring to my wedding photography
is a mix of Artistic Journalism combined with my years of experience
in being able to read people and situations - letting things
flow and capturing the moments uninterrupted - I think being
the youngest in a family of nine may have a lot to do with my
ability to do so - as many times I just remember sitting and
observing what was going on around me and just soaking it all
in - Also family is a big factor in my passion of shooting weddings.
I relish the moments caputered with my own family and friends
and I see myself as a visual recorder of these wonderful times
together, and I'll shoot for you with that same passion and understanding
of the importance of the day. |

Why People hire me ? Of course what first attracts someone to me are my images - at this point my photo skills are automatic, but more important to me is a connection that people feel comfortable with me as a person, seeing I am in control but laid back, confident and am genuinely excited about what I do. They also get a sense that its my pleasure interacting with people and in the wedding situation knowing everyone involved is equally comfortable with my interaction and direction.
